Bio Of Ted Lizanec, Jr., P.G.

firefox Ted Lizanec, Jr., P.G. is an environmental scientist who has extensive technical experience in both field and office settings, project management, and business development. Field experience includes air, water, soil, and building materials sampling, and work with a variety of heavy equipment and drill rigs. Mr. Lizanec has managed about one thousand Arizona projects. Mr. Lizanec has worked on numerous projects that required interactions with personnel from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR), Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), and various counties or municipalities throughout Arizona.

Ted Lizanec, Jr. was born (1956) and raised in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He attended graduate school in Florida. Afterward, he worked two years as an exploration geophysicist for Gulf Oil in Houston, Texas. He moved to Arizona during 1983.

Ted met the former Maria Gaudioso during his first day in Phoenix. They married the following year. Ted and Maria have three children.

Ted has a profound interest in the geologic evolution of Arizona. He spends a significant portion of his free time with the dogs in the vast open spaces of Arizona studying geology, and looking for the mother lode. He believes a large gold deposit is waiting for his discovery. He has amassed a large collection of carvings, cabochons, and specimens of Arizona minerals, rocks, and petrified wood.
